I absolutely love all kinds of makeup. But I must have have mascara on my lashes to begin my day.
Now, for the past 20 years, I have tried numerous Mascaras. I have used the waterproof that cannot be removed, I have used the cheaper kind that smudges in 5 minutes, and more recently, within the last 10 years or so, I have experimented with some of the best.
The following is what I have discovered ~~~
(1star * being the worst, 5stars***** being the best)
#1 Rimmel LYCRA Lash Extender in Black: *****
This mascara can be found at any retail drug store. The Mascara has Lycra in it and amazingly, it does stretch out the lashes. No clumps, no smudges, just long thick lashes. Price wise, it is the best deal.
#2 Diorshow by Dior in Black: *****
I purchased this mascara at Sephora and have not yet seen it anywhere else. It it amazing. My eyelashes stay soft, yet they are very long and noticeable. Easily removable, but yet waterproof. No smudging at all after many hours of use. The only drawback at all is the price.
#3 Estee Lauder Magnascopic in Black: ****
This mascara, I was given as a gift in a basket with other makeups. I tried it recently and love it. The wand is huge, making application easy. Also, no clumping and no smudging at all, however it does not make my lashes as heavy and long as Rimmel or as soft as Diorshow. But this mascara is right up there with the others.
#4 Covergirl Lash blast in Black: ***
After viewing the commercial and reading rave reviews about this newest one from Covergirl cosmetics, I had to try it. Not bad, but not the best. For now, it is my 4th favorite mascara.
#5 Avon Astonishing lengths in Black: ***
I had to give Avon a try, and this mascara by Avon was my favorite out of all the Avon brand cosmetics. My lashes are thick and dark upon using this mascara. One drawback is that although it is not waterproof, the mascara is hard to remove with just soap and water.
These are my top 5. In short, I keep a good supply of Rimmel Lycra Lash Extender on hand at all times. As new ones come along, I will try them but for now I am loyal to Rimmel.
